Literacy is a foundational element in the world we live in. The very ability to read and write touches almost every aspect of our lives -- job applications, health appointment check-ins, rental agreements, and that pesky fine print we see everywhere! Literacy introduces us to pathways that lead to our passions and interests, which materialize into areas of study, careers, and innovation. The Albuquerque Area Alumnae Club of Pi Beta Phi therefore aligns with the International Fraternity's emphasis on philanthropic service supporting literacy initiatives. By way of book drives, youth reading partnerships, and financial giving to related efforts, we strive to improve literacy in our little corner of the world.
